Welcome to Andover Swimming & Water Polo Club
Andover Swimming & Water Polo Club is a small but exciting club, who also provide swimmers with the opportunity to take qualifications such as the swimming teachers and coaching courses. We participate in a lot of competitions, including the Speedo League as well as minor ones. Coaches and teachers are friendly and dedicated and the swimmers are a credit to the club. Any new members will be made very welcome. Andover Swimming & Water Polo Club is also Swim 21 Accredited.
Summer holiday training schedule
Monday July 26th:
Barracudas and Junior Squad: 6.45pm - 8.15pm, Senior Squad: 8.15 pm - 9.30pm
Tuesday July 27th: Normal times
Thursday July 29th: Normal times
Sunday July 25th: Normal times
Sunday 1st August: Normal times
On these two Sundays there will be a Level 1 Waterpolo course running, you will have a normal warm up and then become the pupils for the candidates teaching on the course. Please attend if you usually swim on a Sunday
The club will be closed for August except for the following times
August 17th: Junior and Senior Squad: 6.00 - 7.00pm
August 19th: Junior and Senior Squad: 6.00 - 7.20pm
All of the Junior and Seniors are welcome even if you do not swim on these days
A Level 2 teachers course is being held on these days run by Lynda Flinn, so please it is important that you come and swim.
Thursday Sept 2nd: Normal times
Sunday Sept 5th: No swimming
Monday Sept 6th: Lessons start and all times back to normal

- Club Fees
As you will be aware the monthly fee we all pay to belong to the club only covers the use of the pool on Monday nights, (along with other running costs such ASA registration, insurance etc.). For every other session, swimmers need to pay the cost individually to the leisure centre. more » Testway Housing Grant
Andover Swimming and Water Polo club have been awarded the MAXIMUM grant of £2500 by Testway.- Open Meets - entry policy
Please note that following a committee meeting on Thursday 17th january 2008 it will now be a requirement for all swimmers wishing to attend open meets to inform Betsy (Open Meet Secretary) prior to entering.
This will enable your times to be put forward for Personal Bests and Club Records. Failing to inform the Open Meet Secretary will mean that times achieved will not be recognised.
